How do I purchase an Item on TradeProps?

Step 1: Create an Account

If you're new to TradeProps, please take a moment to create an account. It's free and easy to register. Once you have an account, you can purchase items, add items to your Wish List, and send messages to other members.

Step 2: Add an Item to Your Cart

When you find an item you want to buy, click the green Add to Cart button on the item listing page.

You can access your Cart at any time by clicking the icon at the top right of the site. You can continue shopping and add multiple items from different Tradeprops shops to your Cart.

If you are not yet ready to make a purchase, consider adding the item to your Wish List. This is a way to bookmark an item so you can find it later.

Step 3: Add Order Details

In the Cart, you can add details to your order before proceeding with payment. These messages are optional for you and the shop owner.  Be sure to include any details, such as size or color of the item requested.

Also--Choose the country to which you would like the item(s) shipped.

*You can move an item from your Cart to your Wish List to save for purchasing later. Simply click “move to Wish List.”

*If you have any questions regarding your purchase you can contact the store owner. Simply click “Contact Shop Owner.”

*If you have decided to remove the item from your cart simply click “Remove” and it will disappear out of your cart.

Step 4: Payment

TradeProps requires you to have a PayPal Account to process your transaction. PayPal is a free safe way to purchase items online. For more information on starting a PayPal account go to www. PayPal.com.

Once you click “Proceed to Checkout” you will be directed to the PayPal page to log on for payment.

Make sure you check that your shipping address is correct. Once you reviewed your information, click "Continue" and you will be redirected back to TradeProps.com.

Congratulations! You have just made a purchase through TradeProps.com.  You will be sent an email to confirm your order.

Once you receive your order, you may leave a feedback for the seller.

 

How do I list an Item?

Step 1: Create an Account

If you're new to TradeProps, please take a moment to create an account. It's free and easy to register. Once you have an account, you can list items.

Step 2: Enter Store Mode

Click on “My Store” icon on the right side of your profile page.

Step 2: Add listing

If you have not set up your PayPal account, TradeProps will not allow you to list an item. Once you have registered your PayPal account, update your PayPal account email on you user profile page.

Once your PayPal account is added, you can add your product by clicking “Add New Product” at the left side of the screen.

Step 3: Edit Listing

You can upload up to four pictures of your product on the listing page.  Click on the “Browse” button and you will be prompted to upload your file from your computer.

Your images will be resized and cropped in the viewing box. The first image will be the main photograph users will see when searching for your product. 

Next you will categorize your listing. You have an option of selecting up to three categories for your product to appear.  You must first select the main category.  Then, you will be prompted to select a subcategory.

For the Description of your item, make sure to include information about the size, how it was made, or any unique features.

The tags are the key words used to find your product on TradeProps.  Make sure you separate each phrase with a comma. You are allowed up to 10 tags.  Look at your description for good keywords.

Make sure you click on the "New" or "Used" button for your item.  Also be sure to indicate shipping charges with your item.

Finally, under the "Status" section, select "Active" and click the “List Item” button.

Step 4: Fees

By clicking the "List Item" button, you agree to pay the fees outlined in the “Terms and Conditions” of the site. There is “no charge” to list the item.  If your item sells, you will be charged a 20% transaction fee.

If you signed up for a flat rate account—you will not be charged for the transaction.

 

How do I edit an item listing?

Step 1: Click on “My Store” icon on the right side of your profile page.

Step 2: Browse through your listed items on the right side of the screen. Once the item is selected, you can edit the item by clicking on the “Edit Listing” icon.

Step 3: Once you have completed your changes click “List Item” for the product to go live for buyers.

 

How do I add a Bio to “My Profile” page?

You can a bio under the “About” section of your profile page. Simple click on “Edit Profile” and scroll down to the “About” section on the profile edit page.  You have 245 characters to include all the information you would like.

There is also a separate section where you can list your photography/product website for your clients.

 

I clicked the link to activate my account, but it’s not active. 

Once you go through the registration process, you can select to have the confirmation email sent to you again.  If you lost the confirmation email or if the link is not working contact TradeProps directly at help@tradeprops.com.

 

How to I write a review for an item?

Once you log into your TradeProps account click on the icon next to the "Community" button at the top right side of the screen.  All of your transactions will be posted there. You can give a star rating as well as a comment on the service/product you received.

 

How do I cancel a transaction?

Depending on the type of account you signed up for,  there are two ways you can cancel the transaction.

1.    If you are a Flat Rate User—you can issue or cancel the transaction via PayPal. The transaction is between seller and the buyer directly. TradeProps is not involved in the transaction and therefore   cannot offer any refunds or chargebacks.

2.    If you are an Individual User—you should first try to contact the seller or the buyer to resolve the problem. If the issue is not resolved contact the TradeProps team about the dispute. Send an email to help@tradeprops.com.

 

How do I report a problem with an item I received?

If you have problems with your item, contact the seller directly via the TradeProps Email system.  There you should work toward a solution.  Please use the TradeProps Feedback system to review the seller’s service.   

If you paid with PayPal, you may wish to contact PayPal's customer support to file a formal complaint.

 

How do I close my shop?

Can I change my TradeProps Username?

Your TradeProps username cannot be changed. So, please be sure to consider your user name before signing up for an account.

 

How do I create my Shop Policies?

Once you log into your account, click on the “My Store” to get into your shop.  The button is on the right side of your profile page.

Then click on the “Shop Policy” button and you can begin editing your shop policies.

It is recommended that you create basic shop policies for payments, shipping and returns.   Please refer to the Trade Props Guidelines when creating your Policies. You can also put your personal email address in this area, your physical address for your business and  a tax identification number if applicable.

 

What are the fees for selling on TradeProps?

Based on your selling needs, TradeProps offers two pricing plans under Individual or a monthly Flat Rate Fee.

Individual Plan- If you are looking to sell only a few products, sign up as an Individual seller with Tradeprops. There is no fee to list your item but instead a per product transaction fee of 20%.

Flat Rate Fee- If you expect to have more than 10 orders a month, the Flat Rate Fee account provides you with the tools to manage your products on TradeProps. With a monthly subscription fee of only $15, selling on TradeProps.com is a low-cost, low investment, sales marketplace.

 

Can I change my membership, once I’ve already created an account?

Yes, you can change your membership. Depending on the type of membership you want, you will have to get admin approval. To cancel your Flat Rate Fee, simple cancel the subscription through your PayPal Account.

How can I collect sales tax?

The tax rates you enter determine the amount of tax charged on each order. It is your responsibility as the shop owner to report and remit these taxes to the appropriate taxing authority.

 

What happens after I sell an Item?

When you sell an item, you will be notified via email.  This notification is sent to the email you used to register with TradeProps.  Once sold, the item will disappear from your shop listing page.

Once you are in the “Store Mode” you can manage your sales by clicking on the “Order” button.  Your transactions will be listed below.  You can also select the status of your order by clicking on the drop down menu.

 

How do I become a Featured Seller on the home page?

The Featured Seller is always handpicked by a member of TradeProps staff. We look for ingenuity, well-made items, interesting descriptions and top-notch item photos. We also feature sellers who wish to advertise. If you are looking to advertise contact TradeProps at sales@tradeprops.com.
